With Maker Faire Bay Area right around the corner, Arduino is all set to announce a fresh new SBC. Expected to be called the Arduino Primo, the SBC integrates built in WiFi capabilities as well as Bluetooth Low Energy, NFC and Infrared.
Typically you’d require separate Arduino Shield add-ons to get access to all of these features so its pretty cool to see that the new Arduino will include all sorts of connectivity options for tinkerers. The Arduino comes up ahead of a new partnership with Nordic Semiconductor which will supply its nRF52832 bluetooth low energy SoC. The Arduino Primo will be of key interest to makers who are working on IOT enabled, interconnected devices.[Source – Nordic Semiconductor]
